LOVE: Traditional Polynesian Tattooing

Posted on 1st December 2011 in Tattoo/Body Art

For thousands of years, tattoo traditions have existed in some early civilizations of the world. Different tribes employ intricate tattoo patterns to have a distinction to each other. In the Western word, the tattoo tradition can be traced back from the first explorations in the Pacific. The basis of this body art is the Polynesian tattoo designs characterized by bold black designs. Within Polynesian tattoo, further styles are present such as Samoan, Tahitian, Hawaiian, and Maori.

The Polynesian “Tatau”, as it was originally known, was first adopted by European sailors who brought it to Europe. Since then, the practice of tattooing has spread in many parts of the continent. The early practitioners of body art are some of the sailors themselves who had artistic inclinations. As more artists learned the art, a number of variations have also been introduced depending on the suggestion of the individuals who want to have the tattoo.

LOVE: Our Wedding in Brooklyn

Posted on 1st December 2011 in Music

I know that my wife’s and my wedding day was very amazing.  We decided to get married in our home borough of Brooklyn. It was magnificent to be able to get married there. I knew for a fact that this was very awesome for me to see my beautiful bride walk down that aisle to be given to me. After the wedding, the reception was very awesome, as well. It was so nice due to the awesome music being plated by the NY wedding band that I decided to hire for that occasion. I know for a fact that this day was so awesome for the both of us. I knew that it was a very good idea for me to hire this electric NY wedding band. I know that my wife was so happy that I hired the wedding band to play the music that everybody dance to that day.

HATE: Brooklyn Traffic

Too. Many. People. With. Cars. Geez.
